Green Peas Soya chunk Tomato Thokku

Ingredients: half kg ripe tomatoes, 1 big onion, 2 cloves of crushed fresh garlic, curry leaves a few (torn), coriander leaves for garnishing, oil, salt, water, fresh shelled green peas 300 gm, soy chunks 200 gm, 3 tsp of red chilli cum dhania powder, salt to taste.

for sauting: mustard and cumin seeds

method: soak soy chunks in warm water for 30 min and slice it to required size when it bloats and turns soft.

take oil in a thick bottomed pan, saute with mustard seeds and cumin seeds, and when they splutter, add sliced onion. stirfry adding the galic and curry leaves next. add the chopped tomotoes and keep stirring until the juices come out. add the washed peas and the soy chunks, and add water. add red chilli powder 3 tsp, salt to taste. cook on low flame until everything blends and the gravy thickens like in the picture. garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with parathas, naans, dosas, phulkas, chappathis, anything.
